I am addicted to "real flame effect" candles, as I once had a fire in my home from a real, burning candle left unattended overnight. Because of the desire to use artificial vs real, I have shopped, bought, and used, every type of real flame affect candle there is. NOTHING compares to Luminara! The quality of the finish is better, the look of a real flame is better, the length of time the candle burns on one set of batteries is longer, it's foolproof (it's ability to fool people into thinking it is a real candle), and it's availability is good (you can find it i more stores now than when they first came out). My only complaint about the product is that it does not come in more colors/finishes. That is why I was thrilled to see this wood look finish. Something different. Otherwise you have white/off-white, that's it. The Luminara is expensive, but worth every dime. If you don't believe me, buy one, then buy the cheaper product. You'll be selling the cheaper one at your next yard sale once you make the comparison!
This is my second set of these tea lights. I assumed the first set was defective so BBB immediately replaced them. Like the others, they only worked for a few days before they started flickering on and off!

Worked CC for three weeks. Never worked again! Even with new batteries. Luminara customer service is terrible . Reached out, never responded .
These candles worked for 2 weeks and then they both died. I put brand new batteries in them and they worked for a brief time and then died again. I'd like to test out another set to see if any of them work but it's such a hassle.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These little tea light candles feel like the real thing and are nice. I have them turned in with a timer. It is enough light and the timer makes it convenient. The birch is well done and looks like it is real.

These candles work great and can be used throughout the seasons. So happy I bought 3 of them.

Looks great mixed in with some other birch pieces we have. Also enjoy fooling people when they suddenly realize the "flames" are not actually flames.
