Directions
1. Dip tip of brush into gel formula and wipe off excess on rim of jar. 2. Glide brush in small strokes across lash line. 3. Continue to build line, until desired intensity is achieved. After each use, wipe brush clean with dry tissue and close cap tightly.

This eyeliner does what it says, i went to the bar so many times with my best friend and to get there we walk and boy is it hot! So I'm thinking oh good my eyeliner but when i go look at myself in the mirror its still put! I went from being at the bar since nine at night until four in the morning and the eyeliner was put! Amazing! But i would suggest only the water line, i have dry skin idk if its cause of that but it does lady and doesn't smudge, it only smudges a tiny boot like when i make the wing at the end of the water line but it doesn't bother me cause i look nice haha , great product tho recommended it to allot of my friends.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this last year, it lasted a whole year until I bought a new one. It's a great cream eyeliner. It's hard to find a good cream liner. Hence, why I bought it twice. It smudges under the eyes a lot especially if you are at work or wear it for a long time. But it does it's good.

I'm so sad charcoal is no longer available and I'm sad that I tried the black - it is too dark and it doesn't go on the same as the original formula. Please bring the previous formula and charcoal back!

I absolutely do NOT like the new formula. It’s not gel anymore! It’s more like clay! Me and my sisters have used this for years now we have to find something else to use! This use to be the best! Very disappointed! I’m sure we are not the only ones!

The formula has changed ! Went from being my absolute favorite to something I will never buy again. It's messy and difficult to apply. Couple that with the new bent applicator, and it looks like a toddler put my makeup on. Why change if it is not for improvement ?

Yes, I loathe this new formula that replaces the old Maybelline New York Eyestudio. Maybelline has cheapened it. They think that by packing it exactly the same as the previous they can pull the wool over our eyes. This new formula feels cheap and watery. It runs and smudges. Just in applying it, it starts feathering. I wish I had the old formula back. I have greasy eyelids and this used to be the only eye liner that did not run or smudge.I used it faithfully for 5++ years it was the only eye liner I used. Now I am searching again for a new eye liner. I have tried almost all of Maybelline’s and they are just as bad or even worse. If I could give it negative stars I would.

I like this product and it lasts a long time. SO long in fact that it gets thick and doesn't glide on as smoothly as at first. Do you have any suggestions for this? I have stirred it up a few times and that does help. I also agree that the brush needs to be narrower...

I hadn't purchased Maybelline's product for approximately 10 years. Back in the 90's I used Maybelline's liquid waterproof eyeliner. LOVED it, sadly it was taken off the shelf that's when I started buying cosmetic's from a competitor. Their makeup is so expensive but at the time I felt that meant a better product. Boy was I wrong, I've been trying to find a waterproof eyeliner but haven't found one. I had all but given up, that changed this weekend. I popped into my local drug store and found Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel eyeliner. OMG!!! it was as if all of my prays had been answered. I'm once again a Maybelline client, I should never have left. I used to love this eyeliner but the latest one I bought seems to have a formula change. It does not glide on as easily as it used to with the brush and it seems a little dry and sticky.

We have not made any change to the formula for this liner but we can certainly see this wouldn’t be the result you were hoping for. It sounds like your liner gel has dried out some.
