Maytex 48 to 120-Inch Adjustable Tension Curtain Rod in White

I accidentally sent this to my granddaughter in New York, so didn't have an opportunity to try it for a couple of months. Unfortunately, it didn't work with my decor. Now i cannot return them because it's been over 90 days. I will think twice before ordering from BB & B again.

We use this long tension rod for 'black out' type drapes in a guest room when our young grands visit (otherwise have accordion-blinds for every day). It holds up but just barely, and we have to remind the kids NOT to touch the drapes! Adults open and close only, but usually we just leave the drapes closed during their visits!

This item is shorter than listed. I have a 92 inch OP ending and it didn't expand wide enough . When I tried to close it and put it back in the package, it fell apart ok n my hand. I'm trashing this and buying another one elsewhere.

Cannot get it to stay put. Even a tiny bit of weight on it makes it fall. Conventional tension rods have some spring system that creates tension. This one does not and it shows.

Do not purchase unless you are able to install a center support. The rod is not very sturdy and will bow with or without curtains when installed. Looks good, but not made for the length that the product suggests, should only be used at 2/3 the length without center support.

This will not work for moderately heavy curtains. Might work with sheers, but not anything that has weight. Only lasted two months in front room and fell down.

These tension rods are very expensive, but I understand why. They are pure quality. They were super easy to install and they don't feel flimsy like cheaper tension rods. Most importantly, you won't get this degree of versatility with others...48" to 120"? You won't find that range anywhere else.

I bought this because it was the only tension mount rod available for shipping that was long enough for my window. It's extremely overpriced for how cheap it is. The parts of the rod that allow you to adjust the length are all the way to one side, so it's incredibly difficult to install, The instructions say to do it with two people but this was not indicated anywhere before it arrived. I would return it if it weren't such an awkwardly large object that makes it hard to ship. Wish I had waited for a better and more reasonably priced product to be available for shipping.
