The SG2 steel is extremely hard allowing for razor sharpness, and easy maintenance. The D shaped handle, is an authentic Japanese design that fits nicely in the hand, and is extremely comfortable. These are knives that always get rave reviews from those who use them. A magnificent addition to the table.
