I was looking for a draft guard for the bottom of my apartment door which isn't well sealed. I kept finding ones with novelty designs or prints, or colors that would clash with my home decor, which is simple, understated and neutral in color. This one fits the bill. The tan color is more of a beige than the ivory appearance in the online photo, and it would go well with most any color decor. The fleece fabric is warm/soft and fits in as a home accessory. In terms of function, it has enough weight to easily lean against the crack without it sinking or shifting out of place. The 36" length perfectly fits the width of a standard door. The sewn in handle makes it convenient to hang on the small hook on my door when I'm not using it. The zippered cover is removable for washing. The hard part was getting my dog to stop running off with it, thinking it was a new toy!
With all the amazing reviews that I read about this draft guard, I think I expected it to be more substantial than it actually is. It says that it's made of both foam and sand--which it is, but truthfully it's about 96% foam with just a small handful of sand tucked in the bottom side of it. The sand does provide a little weight to the guard, but with all the foam in it, I've found it to be more flimsy and less sturdy. I'm not able to just kick the guard into place once I've closed the door, but in order to get it positioned so that it's actually blocking the draft, I have to kneel down next my door and put it exactly in place. On our extra-cold days, I've felt the the draft come through the foam. If you're looking for a light-weight, inexpensive guard to put next to a door that won't be used much, then I would recommend this one. Since I'm using it against my drafty front door which is being opened and closed constantly, I wish I would have spent a little more more money on a more substantial guard.

Multiple solid areas were evident throughout that had to be massaged to soften the Draft Guards to make them usable. After which, they were acceptable for use.
What they don't tell you is that when they say 36", they're measuring the rope handle too, however, oddly, that doesn't seem to provide any draft protection. So, this against my 36" front door, comes up nearly 2" short. Unfortunately it will be going back. Also, it's not a one-off, I bought 3, all are the same, 34" length.
It is working great.
I ordered this draft guard so I could keep the wooden door open during the day but even as tightly shut as the storm door is cold air still came in at the bottom. This draft guard works very well, well enough that I just ordered another one yesterday for another door. Can’t beat the price and how BB&Y delivered it right to my door.
I didn't want the cute ones that looks like a doggy etc., just ones that would block drafts and be easy to move. These fit the bill, work well. Keeps the cold air out in winter, and in summertime keeps it in.
Though this door draft would be great for that reason having sand filled, I use it for my metal screen door to keep the mice out of my place. Having sand-filled covers the spaces better cause I can form closer where it is needed better. This device is heavy for its size and well made. I really like it.
Yes, these draft preventers are really good. I wish that they were a little bit longer.
These work great keeping out the cold from windows and doors! I keep one In every window and it helps to keep the room warmer! Also helps with the utility bills! I would recommend this item!
