For years, I've had stoneware for my "everyday" dishes, and saved good china for special occasions, but inevitably, stoneware becomes scarred from silverware and chipped from minor bumps. I love white dishes, but the black marks from flatware were aggravating to clean off. After a conversation about all these problems with a pro at BB&B, she recommended Neveah. I used a holiday coupon for 20% off my entire order and splurged on these. Bone china is much more costly than stoneware, but the durability makes it worth it. And this design line is very smart. No silly metallic embellishments that keep them out of the microwave and the dishwasher. We love the three sizes of plates. The appetizer plate is perfect for a piece of pie or cake. Great for many snacks. The other two plates (salad and dinner) are ones that we use for entrees. The "salad" plate is 9" in diameter, so is really a small dinner plate. So, depending on the dish we use them both as regular plates. We love the turned up edge and broad flat surface of the Coupe version -- gives you the most real estate for food. And after months of heavy family use and washing in the dishwasher, the finish remains as shiny and perfect as new. No chips. Really perfect shiny surface. I even cut steak on it regularly. No marks. We have the 3 sizes of plates and the soup/cereal bowls. Turned out that we needed twice as many of the appetizer plates as the other plates since they get used all day for various small items. The ability to buy exactly what you want in open stock is great. Being forced to buy sets is so wasteful. I mean who really needs a full set of cups and saucers in these days of coffee in mugs or travel cups? I have not bought any of the serving items as I still have plain white stoneware ones that go OK with the Coupe dishes. But, when they get broken or stained, I will buy more Neveah. I just hope BB&B never stops selling it!
