After struggling for several years with a Cuisinart blender, I finally gave up and got the Ninja at the recommendation of a Bed Bath sales associate. This blender works! I can put anything in it and it blends perfectly every time. My Cuisinart just kept breaking and I kept ordering parts but the same thing just kept happening. For what I spent on parts, I could have bought 2 blenders.
For the amount of counter space this thing takes up, I could hire an actual ninja to sit in my kitchen and crush things. This thing is the size of a Labrador puppy, which I did not expect because older models are closer to a Chihuahua. I'd put the beast in my cupboard to take up room, but I don't trust the way it looks at my toaster. Mine came out of the box with a few spots on it, clearly used. Apparently its last owner returned it in lieu of upgrading their apartment to accommodate it. With an all-plastic, space-age design that harkens back to Marty McFly's DeLorean, it looks like it should be able to fly or travel in time if it weren't enormous and from the 80's. Really, it looks like a computer in an 80's movie. At the very least, it should speak to me in a robot voice. Its "smoothie" and "frozen drink" buttons really take the guess work out of...blending things until they turn to liquid. At least the "puree" button is different because it...blends food into liquid. Never again will I stand in front of my blender, agonizing over how long to push the pulse button. On the upside, the pitcher is huge (like 5 milkshakes huge), and the Ninja does indeed blend well. I'll keep it around because, in the end, I am too lazy to send it back and I bought it on sale and with a coupon, making it a decent deal. Perhaps we will just expand our kitchen or rent a storage unit so we can keep it around.

lousy product. I bought it 3 months ago and now it starts showing noises and the smell of burning. I called the customer service and the attendant was super arrogant and hung up the phone while explaining the problem.

We've had our Ninja blender for about a year. It works great for blending frozen fruit smoothies and everything else we've tried. The only complaint we have is that the inside of the blender handle gets incredibly moldy and can't be easily cleaned. It's obviously supposed to be a sealed handle, but it builds up mold quickly and to clean it you have to get a screwdriver and unscrew the handle from the body of the blender. This is a hassle and is a poor design feature.

We use this once per day for smoothies and have owned this for a year - pitcher was replaced (was told it was a courtesy by Ninja) and now the 2nd one is cracked and leaks. While we like the ability of the blender to make our daily smoothies this issue with the pitchers cracking needs fixed - seem it is a major issue with the Ninja product line

When it is in working condition it is a great blender! A little bulky, but I have the storage space for it. After only a months worth of use (smoothies and smoothie bowls about 4x a week) the pitcher has a crack in it. I will probably be returning it for a different brand. Pretty disappointed it cracked, even with hand washing.
I use my blender for smoothies almost daily. It worked great until today. The lid has a locking mechanism that broke for no apparent reason. I'm going to take it back tomorrow and see what the merchant will do for me.
Since the quarantine, my kids have been making smoothies and our cheap old blender was quickly wearing out. Not to mention it wasn’t doing a great job to begin with. We got the Ninja in the mail yesterday and used it 5 times in the first day. It’s amazing! Love the auto feature, sturdiness of the base, how all the pieces fit together so well and ease of cleanup. Easy to use and figure out.
After less than 5 uses, the lid wouldn’t go on. Without the lid, you can’t use this blender at all. Extremely disappointed!!!
