I have 8 place settings and received them in 2013 when I got married. We’ve used them every day and have moved twice. No breaks, no chips, no scratches on the plates. HIGHLY recommend.
I rarely write reviews on things, but I am so disappointed in this product that I had to come back and write a review. I don't know if I had misguided expectations of the product, but I really expected $40/place setting dishes to hold up much better than they are. I registered for and received 12 place settings of these dishes for my wedding in September 2012. After 4.5 years of daily use by 2 people (and occasional guests), these dishes look absolutely terrible. Maybe if these dishes were only used for special occasions and hand-washed each time they would look ok, but certainly not with daily use. The white part of the dishes scratches extremely easily, and the dark part chips very easily. So disappointing.

I bought half terra cotta and half chocolate. They look great together, but the chocolate glaze chips off easily, so now we have mixed terra cotta and chocolate/white specks. Noritake is retiring the wrong color. HEY PRODUCT MANAGER: reduce your GMCs if you want, but talk to your Quality guys first.

I bought the Noritake Colorwave Chip & Dip set in two different colors. I really like how deep the "chip" section is because it holds more food in place... resulting in fewer refills and less mess, especially during a party. The set has many uses which is also a major plus. For example, it may be used for fresh fruit with yogurt or chocolate sauce in the "dip" bowl, or crackers and slices of beef stick with a cheese ball in the "dip" bowl, or the traditional chips and dip/salsa.

Why would you retire this terracotta? It's perfect. Please bring it back!!!! It's also terrible to buy a collection and then not be able to find replacements. It ruins your set. Seriously. You have so many colors. Was one more such an issue? This is a classic color. You can't possibly tell me lime sells more!!!

Very nice, simple contemporary design, but little bit heavy though. We are very happy. We use it not only for nachos, but also as a large service dish, like for duck at Christmas.

I love that the dishes are dishwasher safe, durable and with daily use, no marks remain on them. The raspberry dishes are a festive color, and bright for year-round use as well - I receive a lot of compliments!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have used Noritake dishes since our wedding in 1995 (pattern Ignition). I wanted to change design or color. We are now purchasing the Colorwave Collection in raspberry (pattern 8045). I love them! Still great quality. The sturdiness of the dish is nice. I hope these last as long as our first set.
