Noritake® Colorwave Curve Soup/Cereal Bowl in Clay

First of all, make no mistake -- this is a quality bowl! I bought it so I could see what the color really looks like before deciding which Colorwave dinnerware set to buy as my main color. Burgundy has many variations, and I needed to see how well it would blend in with all the burgundy in my home. IMO, it has more purple in it than red. Beautiful color. If you are trying to match burgundy fabrics in your home look at a real piece of the dishes first.

Overall the item is nice and good quality . The reason of 4 stars is on my opinion it’s somewhat heavy and a little big in the size.

These bowls are a great size for soups and stews but are hard to store. The bowls are not easily stacked - they don’t nestle but wobble when stacked. Except for the stacking issue they are a good size and weight.

Nice size but do not stack well and get very hot in microwave.

i really like the size and weight of the bowl. nice colors too. it has a weird little lip where it changes color from the inside to the outside but it's not a deal breaker. I bought 8 of these for myself and after 5 months one of them has a crack in the bottom. Not sure how it happened, they are supposed to be dishwasher and microwave safe and that's how they are used. I hope this is a fluke and I'll probably buy another one to replace it but if the others start to do this I am going to be very upset.

My wife and I had been searching a long time for new dinnerware. We just happened to be in the store a couple of weeks ago and saw these and bought a 8 piece set to finally have a ONE color option. We loved the curve collection based on the style and, actually, the depth of the bowls. This set compliments our kitchen decor well. These seem to be well made, and so far we've had no issue with them what-so-ever. I can't think of a reason why these wouldn't work for anyone.

Great bowls for oatmeal or any other breakfast cereal. I also use them for pasta. The microwaveable capability adds to the versatility for re-heating. The washing machine safe feature is great. I've had them for about 2 months and although they are stoneware, they don't seem to be easy to chip. No problems so far.
