Nutri Ninja® Pro Blender

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I already own a larger blender, but wanted something smaller and easy to clean for quick smoothies first thing in the morning. I have used the Ninja "Nutri-Blender Plus" for a few weeks now, and while it's definitely smaller and does a decent job (most of the time), it's not quite hitting the sweet spot for me in terms of power, performance and price. It doesn't always blend all ingredients evenly, leaving some rather large chunks on occasion, and for such a small device it doesn't clean very easily either. I did finally land a great use for it though - it does a fantastic job of mixing non-solids, so if you're a regular protein powder (or similar) person, this thing is a great way of smoothly blending your powders with your liquids of choice. Also good for whipping up eggs for an omelette, things of that nature. It has its uses to be sure, but trying to use it as a full size blender is a set-up for disappointment. If I could give half stars I'd probably give this more of a 3.5/5 rating - good for specific purposes and well-built.
