I bought this on my friend’s recommendation. I admit, I was very skeptical of a battery operated fan. I was very surprised, however. This fan is powerful ! It takes 6 D cell batteries and lasts for approximately 72 hours. That’s quite a few hot nights ! We lose power at random times, any time of the year so I’m ready now. The lights on the side are handy but not necessary if you have flashlights. Also good for camping. It’ll blow those skeeters to someone else’s tent.
I have now ordered and have to return two of these fans. The first arrived via FedEx in a damaged, dirty box. The on/off/speed switch was completely stripped. As soon as the batteries were inserted the fan started and the only way it shut off was to remove the batteries. Same thing with the adapter (which is not included). I returned the first one and am waiting for a replacement. I wish I had asked for a refund. The second one just arrived via FedEx. The packaging was fine (although different from the first fan) but again, the on/off/speed switch is stripped and does not work. The box clearly states that it is a two speed fan and the switch strip indicates settings for on/off and two speeds. I own three other O2COOL fans and the switches are much more substation. I am disappointed as the built in lights on this model would have been very helpful.

light weight but w/ strong fan and 2 light settings. Instructions left something to be desired but finally figured it out.
The on/off switch didn't worked properly. The fan will come one but you couldn't turn it off unless by removing the batteries. The store refused to reimbursed the shipping charges although it was not my fault that the unit arrived defective. Worse customer service ever..
NECESSARY PART OF FLORIDA PREPAREDNESS FOR ANY POWER OUTAGE IN THE HOME.
We like that the fan is quiet, but find that it doesn’t run that well on batteries. Otherwise, it’s a great little fan.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First I'll list the things that I did like about this fan. It's a larger size than most portable fans are. I love that they have an AC jack because sometimes just the air conditioner goes out and I can use it with electricity which saves a ton of batteries. I'd like the light feature although it's not necessary. What I didn't like is it's not very powerful. I thought a fan this size would be more powerful but it's not. I really can't recommend this at this time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Me and my family were able to use this last weekend on a camping trip in the snow. I am one of those people that needs to have air on their face when sleeping. The lights that came with it helped a lot especially at night. It was easy to set up.

I was fortunate enough to have this arrive a few days before a storm came through and we lost power. I was so thankful for the battery powered fan with lights during the power outage. The fan is nice and quiet and the lighrs were a life saver!!!
