Omega® VSJ843Q Low Speed Juicer

I have a champion and a Jack Lalanne juicer, and I was wanting a more quality juicer. I looked at reviews and videos, and I chose this one. BEST THING. I juice at least 4 pounds of vegetables every day. My health has improved greatly. I could not be more satisfied. The pulp is almost dry. Easy to clean if you run water through it when done.

I have had this juicer for five months now. I also have the MM900HDS which I use exclusively for celery juice. I wanted this upright juicer for juicing everything else (although it does do celery juice pretty well also). I primarily use it to make cucumber apple juice but I also juice romaine lettuce, kale, carrots and spinach in this juicer. Juicing my leafy greens has been a life changer for me and I am so glad I invested in this vertical juicer because it gets the job done quickly and the pulp is very dry. I look forward to experimenting further with this juicer as someone has written that we can use it to make sorbet and almond milk which I plan to try soon.

This is an update to my original review. Now that the unit function has been resolved with the receipt of the new hopper, I love the product. The juice yield is great, it juices leafy greens and hard fruits and vegetables equally well. And I love the self cleaning function. I really like the fact that the footprint doesn’t take up much counter space. I haven’t tried nut milk yet, but if it performs as well on nut milk, all the better. Great juice yield, easy to clean, small footprint - all winners!

The unit didn't work out of the box without me having to place a magnet in between the hopper and the motor. The replacement hopper did not resolve the issue. I am now waiting on my third hopper. We will see if this resolves the issue. If you spend a few hundred dollars on a product, you shouldn't have to Jerry Rig it to get it to work. As far as juicing goes, it works great on all types of produce and fruit. The only other issue I have is the frequency with which the auger gets stuck to the base. I understand, however, that this is a function of the design and that it happens with all verticle juicers. Would I recommend this to a friend? I might direct them to a different manufacturer if this 3rd hopper doesn't resolve the issue.

I looked at several juicers before deciding on this model. Some had multiple attachments--even pasta makers, but I knew I'd probably never use them all and didn't want a drawer full of spare parts. The Omega VSJ843QS has juiced everything I've run through it perfectly. It runs quietly enough that I can use it while others are still sleeping or in the next room watching TV. Clean up is a breeze. This is a very sophisticated, but simple machine. I love it.

I bought it a month ago and use it every 3-5 days, making enough juice to last. I love how easy it is to use, and to clean. Honestly, washing the veggies is the only time consuming process. So worth it to be get in so much GREEN every day. There is no way I could eat that many veggies in a day, and I'm 99% vegan. I have so much more energy!! It is great. In the photo below, I added lots of red veggies like beets, rhubarb, peppers. Since then, I fill 10oz canning jars to the brim to keep juice from oxidizing over those days in the frig. LOVE THIS!

I was waiting to have more experience with this juicer before writing a review. This is a vertical masticating juicer and we love it. We have had a centrifugal juicer from Omega for many years but the handles kept breaking. We decided to update our juicer. It took us a while to get it because the first shipment was defective and needed to get a replacement. We have had our juicer now for 6 months and have made different kinds of juices. The machine is quiet, it works well, it's very easy to clean as the pulp comes out dry, the juice quality is delicious. I can juice entire carrots, and cucumbers that easily feed through the tube. I don't mind chopping the celery and green leaves to prevent the fibers for getting caught. So far, so good. Omega is a great brand. This is the reason we decided to bite the bullet and pay the price for this one. We trust it'll last for a long time like our previous juicer did. It's worth the investment. Oh, I almost forgot, it looks beautiful in our kitchen. We have the red model and it matches almost perfectly with our toaster.
