Oneida® Butler 45-Piece Flatware Set

Basic match for another brand of flatware that is no longer in production. Meets my needs

I bought this set to add to a similar pattern set I bought a few years ago that is no longer in production. I ordered online, so I had to go by the pictures offered. When I received the item, I thought the pattern was accurate to the online description, and I did like it. But I also noticed that each piece is huge. The larger spoon and dinner fork is the same size as the SERVICEWARE spoons and meat fork from my original Oneida set. The small (!) salad/dessert fork and teaspoon (?) is the exact same size as the dinner fork and tablespoon from my set. As a small women with four children, the larger sizes in this set seemed a bit over-the top. Much too big for kids, and much too big for me. I went to the store and looked at other sets and saw that this must be the new sizing; but I don't think I want to eat my meals with flatware that is the size of the serving spoon and meat fork. I guess I will have to look for other brands, which is sad because generations of my family only ever bought Oneida.

I love how this flatware set is not flimsy or cheap. They are beautiful & fit in perfect with my modern/chic home. Would highly recommend if you want flatware that will last.
