All my life I have suffered, even when cutting shallots. It's sad. I've tried everything! Whistling, open windows, having a toothpick in my mouth, putting the onion in the freezer before cutting it, running water while I'm cutting . . . I could go on. Nothing worked! Then while watching an episode of Castle I saw the characters using these goggles and I knew I'd found the secret. They work! I caution, they cannot be worn with glasses because the seal can't make contact around your eyes. I would have taken a star off for this, but the goggles just work too darn well. I'm visually impaired and am able to lean in close to see what I am cutting and still not tear up. I love these goggles. I got the pink. :)
I keep safety goggles in my kitchen for use when people who have sensitive eyes cut onions. I bought these glasses because they are attractive. I thought, if we have to cover our eyes with something, we may as well look chic. I was too lazy to return them, but I still prefer the safety goggles - you know , the type used in shop class. They cover the eyes more thoroughly and you can also wear your glasses underneath. These felt a little tight and there wasn't room in side them for glasses. Also, I felt that the edges of the glasses didn't protect my eyes as well as the goggles do.

Had another brand of onion goggles that didn't work so well. These worked great
Got these for COVID protection. They’re super cute & keep me from touching my eyes in public.
This is my second pair. My first pair were well used but one ear piece finally snapped off. My husband was thoughtful and bought me a replacement pair but it was a different brand. Those did not work at all. This brand is amazing and I have never shed a tear while wearing them when chopping onions. It is well worth the price.
My eyes have always been highly sensitive to onions while slicing and chopping so I was delighted to find these a couple of years ago and for me, they work like a charm. I’ve bought more as gifts and they have been greatly appreciated by recipients. When warnings went out about protecting one’s eyes from possible Covid 19 exposure, I started wearing them along with face masks when I needed to go to dentist or doctor appointments. They are easy to slip on and off and the foam lining around the edges provides a good, comfortable seal. My husband has a larger face and nose and finds that they don’t fit him as well. They also don’t fit over glasses so I wear contacts instead when wearing them for appointments.
Wow how did I do without so long. They are great for chopping onions. I would usually have to stop and clean out my eyes with water but not with these glasses. The only thing I wished is that they would go over glasses.
These are GREAT! Finally, no more burning, teary eyes!
I called five times trying to locate the product. Once they provided to resend but didn't. Finally, they reshipped but it still took forever to arrive- too late for the holiday. From start to finish was about three weeks. Unacceptable!
