I really like my Oster food processor. It takes very little time to chop vegetables on the pulse. The safety features are great so that there is no mess make when adding food to the processor. I like the cord storage. The cord is not spread over the counter area. It makes storage of the unit very easy. I love the measuring cup. I do not have to use a lot of unnecessary dishes. The unit has storage for all of the parts. This keeps all pieces together until the next use. It is great to be able to use a good product such as this processor. This is a good unit that I received as a sample to review. Steph South Boston, VA
After testing the Oster 10-cup Processor I have mixed reviews. I like the idea of suction cups on the base, which helps weigh down the unit, which otherwise is a bit lighter than other u its. I tested it to slice potatoes that I used to make an au gratin dish. While it worked smoothly, the slices were not always uniform. Next, I chopped ham for ham salad. The u it worked well for that function, finely chopping most of the pieces. I also experimented with shredding cheese. This is where I was disappointed because, again, pieces were not uniform in size The large capacity cup is a good feature, especially for those who might use it for dough, a test I did not put it through. The plastic cup, however, was light and flimsy. This makes me think it will scratch and/or crack easily over time lastly, while some of the parts are dishwasher safe, I preferred to wash by hand and found the chute a bit of a challenge to get some of the food out, especially the cheese and ham. I received this product as a sample to review, however, overall for the money, I think it is a fairly good product for the average home cook but I am not sure it would withstand a long life of frequent use.

I can’t remember when Or where I brought the products, I think it last year? But I had problems with the food’s stuck in outside tub, how can I clean its

I bought this product over 2 years ago. About 1.5 years ago, so ~6 months after I bought it, my housemate accidently ruined the disc stem. The food processor cannot operate without this part as it is what the blades attach to. The part has been on factory backorder this entire time with no timetable for its availability.

I had the same little plastic part break off as many reviewers here. I cut a piece of cork just about the same size as the piece that broke off, a little wider. I pushed it into the slot on the motor piece to hold the spring down. The compressive quality of the cork holds it in place. Now it works fine. Just be so careful cutting a cork, they can be slippery, Use a serrated knife.

The part in the picture got broken after a few use and we're now unable to use the product because that piece serves as a safety lock. Moreover, I am unable to find the replacement part on the website.

I used my processor 3 times, but when I plugged it in to use it again it would not work.

We've used this processor for over a year now and it works okay. The cutting is uneven and you never know if you're going to get mush or big pieces (or both). The biggest problem we have is all the food stuck in the lid. There is no way to clean this? It's molding and is pretty disgusting -- seems like a terrible design.

I had the same problems as the others. Just bought this in July. Making cookies for Christmas, when we opened it my daughter found a hunk of plastic. I couldn't figure out where it came from at first. Finally discovered that it broke at the bottom center where the attachment rod is. Completely useless. Had to throw the ingredients out since we had no way of knowing if there could be little pieces of plastic in there as well. This was a replacement of my husband's GRANDMOTHERS processor. THAT one lasted over 40 years. The new one? 5 months! They just aren't made Luke they used to be. I have no idea if I can buy just the bowl part or not (and if it would even be worth it). It's poorly made and designed. Not worth the money.

I’ve only used my 10 cup food processor maybe 10 times and now the plastic where the bowl locks to the base is broken. I’ve tried to find just a replacement bowl to purchase, but can’t find anything. Now I’m left with a wasted base and have to buy a whole new food processor. I won’t be buying another Oster.
