1st the ladle was in a dozen pieces. the other 2 in this purchase 1 ladle broke and the other perfect. the problem...I called for help and customer service was like
Got this as a gift; ladle was broken. Took it back to the store and received another broken ladle. Third attempt, ladle broken in my hands; it’s a hazard! Don’t use the ladle, if you happen to get one unbroken.
The cake dish is great. Nice weight and great quality. However, the GLASS ladle was not a well thought out idea as most of the reviews have stated. It was cracked straight out of the box. Plastic would have been a better option. I bought it on sale and don't plan to use it as a punch bowl often so not a deal breaker for me but I wouldn't recommend buying if that is your main reason for purchasing.
When we opened the box, we found that the glass ladle was shattered. We kept the item anyway because it is very big and heavy to return. The other items in the set are very good quality.
It was nice that it had a ladle but it arriving broken defeats the point.Even though it was wrapped in bubble and in it's own box, it was in pieces. Apart from that the other parts were intact and made of glass. BTW it was ordered online and picked up in store so it didn't endure that hassle from shipping. Just a poorly constructed ladle of all fragile material.
Ladle came in broken. All the other pieces came in great condition.
Got a great deal on this Cyber Monday plus coupon. Had been shopping for a covered cakestand that was high enough to cover a bundt cake. This item exceeds my expectations. Heavy glass; great versatility; great price!
This product is way too heavy. Maybe it's only for the young. Much too heavy for me. Other than that it's a really nice cake plate.
