Our Table™ Adjustable Pie Shield in Blue

I bought this to keep the edge of my pie crust from over-browning. I use the SMALLEST 9-inch Pyrex dish for my pies. The dish does NOT have a decorative rim; regardless, this silicone shield does not reach all the way around, missing by a half-inch or so. Don’t waste your money.

I was excited to try this out as the aluminum foil method is always so precarious. The pie was bigger than the shield, so i used aluminum foil to cover the extra unshielded edge. Not ideal but not a big problem. However when I took the cooked pie from theoven I found the section under the silicone shield was totally and completely burned and the section under the foil was nicely browned! Big Fail on the silicone shield!!

Don’t believe the description . I agree with others that it is too small for a standard 8” pie plate. Will be returning it.

Used this pie shield for the last 15 minutes of cooking a pot pie at 425 F. Smelled like awful chemicals. Pie shield was too small for a 9 inch pie so it could not connect. Fell off pie and crust ended up burning. Will not use again.

Works well, i like that its adjustable to fit all pan sizes, only pro thing its hard to keep attached, when i want to turn my pie, it comes loose, other than that its good.

Product does not deliver on promises of being adjustable. Pie shield does not hold together around pie in oven.

I assumed the reviewer who had trouble with size may have made a mistake, but no, it doesn't work for me either. I noticed after I purchased it, the sizing on the package says 7.8-9.6 inches but the description above says up to 11.5 inches. Also, it withstands up to 200 F? What kind of pie bakes at less than 200F? I'm hoping I can get a refund.

Even on the largest setting this is much too small for a 9 inch pie. I tried to lay it on without latching it but the ends didn't even meet & it fell off immediately.
