Our Table™ Anti-Freeze Ice Cream Scoop

At the first scoop out of ice cream, the silver coating on the handle dyed my hand, leaving my palm black! I washed the scooper carefully under water (as per instructions) and the entire coating disintegrated. The scooper is now bleaching everything it’s in contact with black! Absolutely worst product. I tried to return it at the store but since I don’t have the receipt, the store won’t exchange. All I can recommend is: Do not buy!

Took way too long. Almost 3 weeks. Assuming it wasn’t coming ordered another one. 1 week for that one so it says. We shall see.

I was pretty excited for this scoop because it reminded me of the ones you would see in an ice cream shop. However, like some other reviews have stated… it’s a poor design and low quality material. I didn’t put this in my dishwasher, I hand wash all of my dishes - but the coating/finish started to deteriorate into white crystals AND the handle (which is supposed to be completely sealed) filled with water. I tried propping it in the dish rack to get the water out to no avail. I’m more concerned with the finish though, because what are we putting in contact with our food if water and soap causes it deteriorate/shed. This should be recalled, it can’t be safe.

I have been using one like this for years but was not scooping as well. Was so glad to find a new one!

Nice ice cream scoop. Has worked well so far. Smallish scoop size (more like gelato), but perfect for us. Hand wash, no problem.

This is a great scoop and incredible price. Just don’t put it in the dishwasher, no need to, it’s very easy to wash. Makes scooping easy, my 4 year old loves being able to get his own ice cream and he can’t with a regular scoop, The negative reviews don’t seem fair, as it says very clearly not to put it in the dishwasher!

It says it small print on the package, "Hand wash with warm soapy water." Come on, who doesn't wash an ice cream scoop in the dishwasher? I pulled it out of the dishwasher and asked, what's this? Like others, it turned yucky dull gray that came off on my fingers. Because of the instructions on the package, I don't think I have the right to return it. I just hope others read these reviews before purchasing this item.

I had to return this item. This ice cream scoop has a metal plating which starts coming off after only a couple of uses. The surface turns black and you end up with a musty-smelling metallic residue on your hands. Seriously, any kitchen accessory should be able to stand up to being washed in hot water or survive a cycle in the dishwasher. This item should be pulled from the shelves.
