I had to buy a new apple peeler because the one I had for over 20 years finally croaked. I make apple pies every year so I really need one. This new one is mostly good. It comes in a nice box and a very detailed manual. The suction is very good, which is critical. My main issue is that no matter what size the apple is, the peeler does not peel the first part of the apple, which means more work for me. I adjusted the blade like it says in the manual but it only takes more off of the apple, and does not help peel the top part. I took pictures but I don't see where to add them. Other than that I guess I would still recommend it.
This is my second review on this product. The phrase "They don't make them like they used to" is perfect for this item. My first review was just a week ago and I said it was "Good, but not great". I used it again today and the whole thing broke at the base. The bottom suction came loose and the whole top metal part came loose. I returned it today! I sure wish I could remember the brand of my old one! DON'T BUY THIS ONE.

Be careful. This apple peeler is a handy tool, but it breaks easily. This is my 3rd one.
Do not buy this product, it broke in two places the first time I used it. I had a different brand that lasted for years and this thing couldn’t outlast half a dozen apples. Complete waste of money.
This apple peeler is awesome, peels, cores & slices in less than 4 seconds, really. Over the years have given these as Christmas gifts along with a bag of fresh apples.
A tool that is fast and efficient
DO NOT BY THIS. !!! I usually go to Bed Bath and Beyond for everything. I needed an apple peeler , so I went to my go to. I got the apple peeler. It really hurt my feelings when the whole thing broke on the second apple. I mean springs, screws, and pieces of metal laying on the table. I'm sorry for that. I really liked Bed Bath and Beyond
Broke the first time i used it .wasn’t even able to peel all the apples.
It shouldn't be on the market. Too hard to use.

I purchased two of these, one to replace my older one and one for a gift. The old one had bumps in the base the prevented it from wiggling back and forth when you are using it but this one does not have those and wiggles. I find this so annoying I can't use it. I am back to using the old one. Unfortunately by the time I realized this it was too late to return so I am stuck with two of them I won't use.
