I didn't think it would work, but it really does separate the fat from the liquid. One of the best purchases I've made in a while.
Love it. I have had one for a while- but the dishwasher shrunk down the black handle so it wouldn't stay in place anymore and I lost the stopper! Time for a new one. Works great.

This utensil works like a charm. Within minutes the oil was separated from the gravy. Love this gadget. Saves on preparation time.

I bought this separator because I was cooking oxtails and they have a lot of grease that surface to the top. This worked very well in separating the grease from the broth and I was able to discard the grease.
Easiest, cleanest, fastest way, to do that otherwise messy job of getting rid of the fat/oil/grease from soup, gravy, sauce, etc !
Been wanting one for years and I am very pleased with .this OXO Gravey Seperator.
