Nice sturdy construction and mesh is close enough to strain quinoa.
I don't use a strainer often, but this one is OK. It's a bit large and the mesh is extremely tight, but I suppose that's what some would find desirable.

A very good quality big strainer. I definitely recommend it.
Solid, well made, easy to use and wash up. Use in a variety of ways. It feels very substantial, should last quite a long time. 8 In. is large enough for most jobs.
This is a solid, sturdy strainer, very well made, no sharp edges to cut the fingers. The mesh is fine enough for straining brown rice, beans, berries, etc. which is what I use it for. Washes up easily. The handle is very comfortable, easy to grip. The diameter inside the rim at the top is about 6 3/4" which is adequate, although I wish it was slightly larger.
I like the finer mesh of the strainer, and it sits nicely on my pans and bowls. Seems sturdy.

Very sturdy. Holds a heavy load. Nice fine mesh. Good holder to put over a pot.
This OXO strainer is the most sturdy one I have found - we had our original one for 13 years before the mesh started to separate from the rim and I replaced it with a no name brand that was a "cross mesh" - but had a wood handle....While that still works, I went ahead and purchased a new OXO and by far - it is easier to use and feels more sturdy than any other....so I will keep buying these
