I had an an antique potato ricer that was given to my mom back in 1964 and I lost it in my move. It was awesome! When I realized that I couldn't find my potato ricer, I jumped on Bed Bath and Beyond to look for a potato ricer and found this one. I was a bit of a skeptic, as I have tried other potato ricers in the past that always had me going back to my good old faithful, very worn antique one. I bought it, and LOVE it!!! Best one I've used yet! The only down side is that I now have to peel and quarter my potatoes, which is a very small price to pay for creamy mashed potatoes. I highly recommend it!
I used this ricer probably 20 times. finally got so disgusted I pitched it. The barrel warped to the point it was a struggle to get the plunger into it. the handles were flimsy and the plunger wouldn't reach the bottom of the barrel so you ended up digging potato out of the bottom of the thing. if you intend to use a ricer much at all spend the extra money and buy an all metal one

The description and packaging state that there are three adjustable settings, but there are only two, The plastic on it seems cheap - certainly not up to Oxo standards. I'd intended to use this for making my holiday meal, but took it back immediately instead.
This ricer is sturdy, works well.
This thing supposed to have 3 levels: course, medium, and fine. Mine had two levels. Too much money for not properly made. I do not recommend! I returned it immediately.
I make lots of mashed potatoes during the holidays and this made the process so much easier, and, the potatoes so much creamier! OXO products are always a winner!
This potato ricer is very sturdy but a bit too small for holiday cooking.
Over designed, impractical and expensive. IKEA sells an all metal ricer for about $5 that works much better and is easy to clean.
