I have been looking for a proper thermometer for quite a while. I have tried several different types and brands and have found this one to be superior to all of them. It is quick to read, accurate in its display and the case with both FDA and Chefs measurements is handy to have right at your fingertips each time you use it.
With been through many, many meat thermometers. We have never found one to consistently when cooking dinner for ourselves or a dinner party. We thought we found a good one with this OXO product but no, it stopped working properly with the flickering described in other reviews. We bought a new battery and can't get the battery door open. The plastic cover is just falling apart. We'll try this product one more time but with crossed fingers.

I bought this thermometer thinking it would be like all the other OXO product. The first time it worked. The second time it wouldn’t reset. The temperature wouldn’t go back to zero. I tried everything lol. So, looking for another one that might work longer.
Product claimed to come with batteries included, but the battery inside was already dead. I bought it specifically for the turkey today (Thanksgiving) but I just opened it and it doesn't have working batteries. Now my husband is running all over town trying to find a place that sells either the right battery or a new thermometer that's still open on Thanksgiving.
I have purchased several of these over the years at Bed Bath & Beyond. Generally, they last a year or so, which was tolerable. But this last time, I bought 2 at the save time. One has performed ok. The other one blows through 2032 batteries within a day or so. I would not recommend the OXO thermometer to anyone. Good features but not good battery performance.
It broke the first time it was used but put it back together and not sure if it’s accurate now
It gets one star because we had to give it something to write this review. We unpacked it and put it to use. The temperature did not register Simple item. Not worth anything.
Works fine so far.
Really like these thermometer! Use it daily.
I bought this primarily for use with pork. But I love how accurate it is and how easy it is to use so I use it all of the time now. I’ve been using it for a month straight with no issues at all. I highly recommend it.
