I have had my slicer for 3 months. I use it almost daily. For a plastic contraption with no moving parts, I was skeptical that it would work, but it does! The knife end slices an avocado in half perfectly (start slicing at the stem). The opposite end scoops out the meat already sliced, though sometimes you need to push the meat through at the end of the scoop when the meat is very ripe. There are 3 blades in the middle which grab the nut so it can be easily twisted free and usually falls into the trash with a gentle tap. The tool works equally well in either hand - just flip it over :-). Only the nut remover requires use of one side. After use, I give it a quick rinse in the sink and pop it back in the drawer. No need for dishwasher use unless you forget and the meat dries on -- as another reviewer suggested ---use the top rack - it's plastic.

Love this product, only complaint is that the blades on the digging spoon are only on one side. For a right handed person, no problem, for a lefty, you have to juggle the tool to make it work. Still a fabulous product, just would like to have the sharpened blade on both sides.

This is a must have kitchen tool for avocado lovers. Makes it so easy to remove the pit and to slice the avocados just right. Easy to clean. Have bought for other family members and they all love it as well.

I’ve chopped my thumb cutting avocados more times than I can count. Not with this product! It cuts, depits, scoops and even slices. Handy tool, for sure!

Awesome avocado tool!!! So much easier to use this than a knife and a spoon. Quickly removes the pit and flesh, and it’s easy to clean as well.

It’s ok, not great. I prefer to use a knife. The plastic cannot get sharp enough to not mush up the avocado. It’s also hard to remove the pit.

This is a great tool to have around. I can definitely make do with a knife, but this makes opening an avocado and getting the perfect slices so easy. Not an essential, but something that makes life easier.
