I am in my 80's and have been baking since I was nine years old, making biscuits and pastries the old fashioned way. I love my good grips pastry cutter; keeps my hands cleaner and does a great job of blending fats into flour. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks?
I had my grandmothers dough blender and cutter. She called it a pastry cutter. It beats using 2 knives. However, it is not as good as my grandmothers, which gave up the ghost after maybe 100 years. Hers has thin blades. This one has thick blades. The dough hangs up on the blades and I have to clean off with a knife. Kind of a pain.

Love how easy it is to use and clean. Definitely has made bleeding my butter in my flour more effortless and messy which I’m thankful for! Great quality and sturdy. The blades can bend easily if pressure is placed on its side. But not a deterrent for me
Person who got this as a gift was very pleased since he had borrowed one from some one else and liked using it. He was happy to get one for himself.
Love this pastry blender! It is strong and very well made, not only great for dough but also works for chopping up hard boiled eggs for egg salad and avocados for guacamole!
The OXO Good Grips Pastry Blender is an excellent addition to any baker's collection of tools.
I have had one of these for many, many years and it finally broke. I am so happy to have another.
I have been searching for a quality pastry cutter and I found it! Stands up to big jobs and the handle doesn't bend or twist
OMG..I have been using my Mother's from the 1950's...finally had to let it go (sorry Mom)! This is like day and night!! I should have bought this "newer" model a long time ago. The OXO design is great for comfort and the job it has to do!!
I would of liked one with the thumb rest to push with but was not an option in the store but this works well
