I have had many different scoops and none of them compare to this one. I love that it has just the little lever that pops up when you push the handle. The kind that scoop around the inside always seem to break so easily but this shows that it is going to hold strong! I have been looking for a good ice cream scoop for a long time and I believe I have finally found it! We have used it to make ice cream cones and sundaes, to make pancakes (as a batter scooper), and to scoop and serve mashed potatoes. It works so well on all of it!
We have had this scoop for about two months. Last night while eating I’ve cream, I noticed something wrong in my mouth. It was the end of one of the two pins holding the spring-loaded ejector that had broken off. Too many moving pieces that do not hold up to harder frozen ice cream. Our old solid spoon-shaped Oxo scoop has lasted decades.

It's sleek, lightweight and doesn't look like it will do the job. But it does! And finally, an ice cream scoop that works no matter how firm the ice cream is in the container.
Good idea but terrible overall design. The handle came loose and in the process two pieces of plastic have broken off (both as I bought two of these).. landing in the ice cream (caution chocking hazard) as I didn't notice till I bit into a piece of plastic. Second issue is it is impossible to clean behind the lever where ice cream residue (especially chocolate) will hide and cake in even after hand cleaning or dish washer. Overall a nice idea but poorly designed to the point it is impractical.
It does its job great.
Love to use for chicken salad any presentation or portion control when catering
It’s so easy to get your ice cream or custard out and in your bowl or cone. I don’t have to dirty another spoon to dig ice cream out of the scoop
Wife is absolutely thrilled about how this scoop works.

It's super easy and awesome for cupcakes and muffins as well. Happy I bought it. You won't be disappointed.
