I own the plastic version and the stainless steel version and I love both, but the stainless is well worth the buy! I don't know what afnoel from Texas is talking about. You're not supposed to use this product to mix your salad dressing with your salad. Obviously some people lack common sense, even when using a salad spinner.
I LOVED LOVED this salad spinner! Until the THIRD time I used it, the TOP CRACKED and the two lid pieces separated from each other and there was a white film in the spinner part. It was so disgusting.. It didn't have an odor - at least I was too afraid to smell it, but it was definitely NOT supposed to be there.. I was so bummed out because this was NOT cheap. I wish there was a warranty or the company would replace it.

Wow! I bought this before there were any reviews on it. I was hoping it would work out and it did! I wasn't sure because the other oxo were just ok reviews. I had my previous one for over 10 years. It was much smaller and cheap plastic. It did the job... but it was time for a change. I really love the quality and looks of it. The material is amazing, no rust so far. I tend to dry it right afterwards. I use it about every other day. Highly recommended.
Don't settle for the less expensive plastic model...you'll find yourself rebuying the more durable one anyway, so might just as well buy it the first time. Works very well.
This salad spinner is very useful and functions smoothly. It can accommodate a large amount of lettuce. It also fits in perfectly with the modern decor in my kitchen.

This is the best salad spinner that I have used since my older model Zyliss cracked after about 30 yrs of service. Then I purchased a new Zyliss and the string broke after 2 years. At that point I found this stainless OXO and decided to give it a try. Even after a brisk spinning, the leaves of lettuce are still damp which is why I give it a 4 star review. This is the best salad spinner and the most durable that I have found. Thank you, OXO!
great presentation, love steel!! bowl is large and fits comfortable lots of greens. Definitely worth the price.
I am disappointed in this product. I try to avoid buying plastic things as much as possible and I got this spinner because of the metal bowl (the top pieces and basket are plastic of course) and figured for such a high price the two basic functions spinning and stopping would be sure to work. The stop mechanism doesn't reach the basket below when you press on it so that function doesn't work at all. Better to just get a cheaper more durable option, this price is not worth it .
Never had one before but I’m liking it so far. Easy to use and clean up and it looks nice
