Overall this tent is very functional and effective. It isn’t indestructible by any means but if you take a little time to understand how it works you should not have a problem with it. There are a couple of plastic pieces but the places that need to be stronger are reinforced. As long as you do not over torque the auger (the drill looking thing on the end of the pole) everything works out fine. I just drilled it into the sand until it felt like it didn’t want to go any further. Then I filled the “outriggers” with sand and voila, shade on the beach. We have a saying in the fire department; ‘you gotta be 2% smarter than what you’re working with’. I don’t know why so many people have had trouble with this tent but, if you apply the fire department saying, I think we can figure out what the problem really is.
Thought I would love it-second time I used it at the beach, the threads that screw in the sand broke off. Minutes later one of the supports in the umbrella splintered & broke. Later in the afternoon, it blew over on the people next to us. I’ll be returning this.

We used it today for the first time at the beach. It was super super windy and the cabana still held up nicely. It was very easy to set up.
The worst umbrella I have ever bought. It broke on its first day and continued to fall apart with every use there after. I might have gotten 3 uses out of it before I had to trash it. Used in Ocean City, MD.
I had another brand that I loved but it broke after years of use. This one broke the second time we used it. Save yourself the money.

I am very unhappy with this cabana. It fell apart the second time I used it this year from a mild breeze. I would not recommend this product for the beach because it will not hold up to the wind. Might be better at a lake, on the sound or at a bay beach.
Love this Cabana. So easy to set up and love that sand is used to stabilize. Much better than getting an umbrella stake into the sand.
Broke as soon as we put it up on the beach. Flimsy
It stood up well in the Lido Beach wind against most umbrellas or shades. Love the shade it provides and how easy it is to assemble.
