We bought these chairs three years ago and we also live near the beach in Florida. We go to the beach two- three times a week and have used these chairs for concerts too. We must have received a good batch because they (3) are still in good shape. As a matter of fact we used them today and noticed, what some have written the stitching pulling apart on one chair. This after hundreds of uses, the seams are pulling but still ok. As a mater of fact I was checking to see if they were on end of season sale because when these do give into constant use we had backups. Also one comment was about closing the chairs, all you have to do is tap on the back leg with the front leg facing the ground and it will collapse. Most beach chairs are built for one season down here. What I did do was to scotch guard the chairs for protection of the fabric, once when we bought them and this past winter. Again we go to the beach year around and are happy. I'm not giving a five star because of what others have experienced-- but for us it's a five star for these and hope the replacements we buy when these are no longer usable don't have the issues the others have written.
I read the other persons review about these chairs that the seams were coming apart and I still bought the chairs..should have listened as we used these one day at the beach and already see that the quality is poor and stitching is coming apart. I see with alot of the better more expensive chairs that the fabric is one piece which is sturdier than these that have multiple pieces sown together... Will be returning these to store today :(

Yes it’s only a beach chair, but this one is soo awesome for the price. My first backpack chair and I’m never going back to anything else. Love the lightweight, Love the lay flat option. Love the headrest and 2 storage pockets.
Very easy to carry and set up. The chair is the perfect height and even opens flat, for complete relaxing in the sun. The cooler on the back of the chair is small but fits a can of soda and a sandwich.
Only used a few times when the straps for the backpack just ripped with no pressure at all. Went to put on and tighten straps and they ripped on both chairs. Only bought for the backpack use, now stuck with no straps! Really poor quality.
I really love these chairs they have big enough pouches to put a towel in and lotion and the cooler part can carry a lunch. Strap it on your back and you’re ready to go
