The product itself is great and I have no complaints about its ability to store food. However I had put this on my wedding registry with intentions of using this as my only plasticware set, only to find that its biggest container is just medium-size. Also because of its rounded shape at the top, even the smaller pieces won't fit easily into my husband's lunchbox with other items. Not a huge deal, but in the end I purchased another set of plasticware to go with this one that has larger pieces and more angular edges. This set is definitely used when possible, but has not lived up to my hopes and expectations.
My husband and I got these off of our registry. We really loved these containers and thought it was a great set for the price until I heated up some soup in one. They say they are microwave safe, but my container got completely destroyed. I heated the soup for a minute on power level 8 and then stirred and repeated. The container has a rim of "pimpled" plastic where the soup was. It looks gross and unclean, but really it is just the plastic. Of course that was one of our two larger containers so now we are not really able to store much.

They claim to be microwave save but with one use on 80%, two were ready for the trash. I won't use them again as they are melted and rough inside- don't want those plastics in my food. The rest of the set is fine for food storage (lids fit very well) but will NEVER microwave anything in them again. Won't purchase anything plastic from Rubbermaid ever again either, despite their assurance that these were "microwave-safe."

These Rubbermaid containers are great, but this combo really only has 3 or 4 containers that are large enough to be useful, and a bunch of tiny ones that are just taking up space in my cupboard, which I'll probably end up recycling.

For the price, this item was not what I expected. But it was on a gift registry and in the price range I was looking. The box is damaged so I would hate to actually give it as a wedding gift! Will be returning!
