Before I dispose of this vacuum I thought it was only right that I write a good review on it. Old blue was purchased right after we got married . It moved 4 times including a cross country move. He has sucked up a total of 10 years of shedding dog hair. For his final year he resided upstairs in my sons room where we abused him with legos, dried play doh and hamster bedding. This thing wouldn’t die! We had moved on from old blue about 2 years ago when he developed a split in his hose and at 8 years I bought a new one. Blue is a amazing vacuum and will not let you down. I never replaced a belt and rarely cleaned out the brushes. I consider my self a hard core tester ! So if this isn’t a reason to buy it .. idk what is. Rip Blue!
In terms of vacuum cleaners, I always swore by two products: the 1968 Electrolux that I inherited from my grandmother that I still use a few days a week and the 6-year-old Shark Navigator upright vacuum that was in daily use in our home until it burned out this past weekend. Last evening we put our brand new, just purchased blue Navigator Lift-Away vacuum to a first test, and the decline in your product since 2015, when we purchased the previous navigator, was quite dramatic. This new Navigator Lift-Away upright is the worst vacuum I have ever purchased, and my Electrolux has outlived them all, from overpriced Dysons to the cheapest junk you can find. I had such high hopes for this vacuum and was instantly disappointed. Yes, powerful suction is important, but it is so strong that it cannot vacuum any of the rugs in our home without attempting to eat them, and no adjustment the Navigator offers made any difference whatsoever. We have 5 cats, so the need to vacuum small rugs and litter mats is essential in any vacuum we use. The Electrolux and the 2015 Navigator sailed across any rug with ease, this one wanted to eat all the rugs! When attempting to use that little stair attachment, it injured my pinkie finger as I did not realize the brushes were facing the wrong way when I attached it to the hose. We intend to return the vacuum and I will find something else, and use my nearly 54-year-old Electrolux in the meantime. One last point in what I admit is a very very lengthy opinion post here: no crevice tool attachment was included. Really? I had to keep those tools from the old vacuum? Inexcusable.

Works like a sweeper should. Balances well in the hand ... pretty light, too. And, pretentiously speaking, it's pretty as a sweeper can be.
I had a but was too heavy to use. This Shark unit has a lot of suction and is a lot litter use maneuver.
I had a blue Shark Navigator for ten years before I had to replace it. It worked great and I never had any issues. The new sharks have excellent suction and cleaning power, but the smell of a dirty vacuum cleaner bag can permeate your house. My blue shark never did that. I took the stinky one back and got a different one of the same model and it did the same thing. I googled “shark vacuum smells” and you wouldn’t believe all the articles about how shark bagless vacuums smell. So I started cleaning the filters and canister immediately after use but you can still smell dirty vacuum bag. Like I said the suction power on the new sharks are phenomenal but as long as your canister has any debris in it at all, the smell of it goes everywhere. I live in Tucson so I can turn the heat off in the winter and swing the doors open and turn on the ceiling fans but Geezus that’s a terrible inconvenience. But boy is the suction in these vacuums is crazy powerful.

Have several area rugs on hardwood floors. Have been using my Miele on both. Bought the Shark Navigator Lift Away and could not believe what it picked up. Very happy here, you have a new customer.
Awesome vacuum. They packs a punch. Another fine Shark product. Easy to use and lift and has a few settings. Perfect.
