[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is not my first experience with the Shark brand as I have been using their products for years. The Shark Stratos stick vacuum came packaged nicely and all of the pieces were in perfect shape. Assembly out of the box was very simple and took less than 5 minutes. This vacuum has Duoclean Powerfins, and odor neutralizing technology. My first thought about this vacuum was that it is unnecessary because you might as well get the corded big vacuum out because this one is corded. However, once I started using the accessories I realized that this vacuum is a must have regardless of what other vacuums you own. I really like all of the attachments and I can see myself using those the most. So far I have used this vacuum’s attachments to clean my vents and my furniture. It works really well at getting hair of the couch and I have a lot of it because I own a Husky. I will probably still use my big vacuum for my entire house. However, this vacuum is great for cleaning small spaces and for specialty jobs. My only complaints about this vacuum is that it is corded and the canister doesn’t hold a lot of debris. It also doesn’t stand up on its own unless it is leaning against the wall. This is most likely due to it’s large and very long cord. I love everything else about this vacuum. It has very strong suction and it removed a lot of the debris from my floors that my robot vacuum missed. It works well on hardwood and carpet. It is incredibly light weight. It has a self cleaning brush roll. It is perfect for families with pets and young children. The true pet accessories are unmatched. It even has an anti allergen true HEPA filtration system. Overall, I am very happy with this vacuum’s performance but I had to remove a star from my rating because it is corded.
There are so many things wrong with this design. 1. Doesn’t stand on its own, so you always have to prop it up on something. 2. The collection tank is ridiculously small. I can only cover about a 3 sq ft area of my carpet before I have to empty it. Granted I have a long hair dog, but this is a vacuum specifically designed for pet owners. Why create a vacuum that can pick up hair, but barely has any room to put it? This is also incredibly inconvenient since every time I have to empty it, I have to prop it on something since it won’t stand on its own. 3. The power cable exits the handle upward so the cable is constantly being bent. This is especially bad on the cable for storage, as you have the pull the cable downward to wrap it around the little handles along the back on the stick. 4. One of its features is that when you turn it on, it’s supposed to determine whether you are on carpet or some kind of flat floor like laminate or vinyl. This, however, hardly works and almost always thinks I’m on vinyl. Not exactly a show stopper, just a minor gripe. All in all, it’s very good at picking up the dog hair but the rest of the design makes this vacuum very inconvenient and definitely not worth the money. I had a stick vacuum from Shark before that was made for pet owners and I loved that one so I figured I’d buy a Shark again since I needed a new vacuum. This one did not live up to the expectations set by my previous vacuum. I definitely won’t be buying another.

I have purchased many Shark vacuums (probably close to 10 over my lifetime) but I’m extremely disappointed with the Stratos model. It constantly blows out dust when using. I have repeatedly cleaned both filters, washed and thoroughly dried them, and it continues to happen. My house ends up being more dusty after using it.

This product is great on non-carpeted and carpeted areas, It hasn't missed a single crumb! I also love the sleek design, and extra long cord, I own a cleaning company and can't go cordless so this is a major bonus! Only downsides are compared to the rocket the floor piece is hard to disassemble to clean the clear area and I can't vacuum couches anymore without the light turning red from too much fabric! Other than that 5⭐️

I bought this to keep on my 2nd floor, as I hate to lug up the hose for our central vacuum. It has good suction, and worked well on my hardwood floors. I'm only giving 3 stars as the maneuverability of the head is terrible. Trying to get it to turn from one angle to another requires far more effort than it should. The handle is also kind of awkward, and feels like it will leave you with a blister. This is in part due to the weight of the handle, and the design itself. I do like that the canister is easy to remove to empty it, and the suction seems to be pretty strong. For what this costs, I don't hate it, but I def don't love it.

I bought this model online online about a month ago. I had an older Shark Rocket corded model that lasted for several years, so I was inclined to get another Shark. I have 3 long haired dogs, mostly low pile area rugs and wood floors, but also one room with a higher pile wall to wall carpet. As others have stated, the suction power is exellent. It is so good that I cannot finish vacuuming the high pile wall to wall carpet without emptying the small dust cup at least once, sometimes twice. (You have to unplug the machine and disengage the hand unit from the rest of the vacuum to access the dust cup.) Since I had to spend time cutting dog hair entwined around the old Rocket brush roll, I was intrigued by the "self-cleaning" brushroll. Not much hair gets wrapped around the brushroll with this model. However, it does get jammed up behind the foam part of the brushroll before it can reach the actual brush part, so it has to be pulled out. I wanted a lightweight stick model so didn't seriously consider other Shark (and pet) models. Perhaps I should have.

I just brought my new Shark Stratos home today. Unpacked and assembled easily. Plugged it in and proceeded to do my cleaning. OMG this thing is amazing! Having had an 30+ year old Electrolux it was time to replace it. 20 minutes of using I was done. The catch cup was totally full. Emptying and cleaning the filters was easy. Best purchase decision I’ve in a long time.

Not standing upright on it own is relatively minor inconvenience to allow for less weight. But it doesn’t pick up any crumbs only dust.
