Shark® Vertex ™ Bagless Corded Canister Vacuum in Black/Copper

I bought this about a month ago. Its a great vacuum although it does have a few design flaws. the hose is a bit to long when you use attachments if you are not careful the hose tends to crimp if you don't watch which way you turn .Also it rolls really well until it rolls on the cord then it stops and you have to pick it up over the cord. I do like the fact that my attachments from my previous Shark fit the new one. My old one had a light on the handle this one does not so you can't see under dressers or other furniture the powerhead does not fit under.

Doesn't pick up dirt and hair as well as the upright versions so I returned it. I believe it has to do with how light weight the head is compared to the weight of the head on the upright which is due to the design.

This is my second Shark Canister Vac. I LOVE the suction of the machine. It is amazing. I miss the bare floor attachment of the previous edition. I also find that the hose collapses easily if you turn just the wrong way. I hope Shark comes up with a better hose. If the don't, I won't be buying another one.

I have had this vacuum about a month - I am getting used to the features. It has powerful suction and my carpets seem very clean. My hardwood floors are clean as well. The canister is easy to empty. I am not as happy with the canister as I thought as it can be clumsy following you around. It is also heavier than expected.

I bought this to replace my sharkstick vac rocket that I had for 5 years. I have all tile floors,and just a few throw rugs. I love the vac and it seems to pick up alot more dust and dirt than my old one. I do not like the hose. It is not flexible at all,very stiff,and I do not like the control buttons. I feel that after a while they may crack or develop a hole. I wish it came with a couple more attachments. I like having 3 fan speeds. Everything else is great on the vac. It's a keeper.

I have always wanted a canister vacuum but have been very hesitant on buying one. I am sooooooo glad I picked the Shark canister vacuum. It has amazing power, it’s so lightweight and the canister rolls along the floor smoothly. I love this vacuum!

I give high ratings to the Shark Vertex Bagless Corded Canister Vac. Is there an attachment kit available that would include the brush attachment?

My Shark canister vacuum was a Christmas gift. We have a Shark lift away upright; which I love but I wanted a canister vacuum to be able to clean everything from one room to the next. Unfortunately, thus one just doesn’t do the task for me. I cannot go very far with this vacuum as it tips over while trying to get to the attachments or if you are trying to vacuum from the floor the hose isn’t very bling or an addition metal hide attachment is needed. I like to vacuum my drapes, window shades and window seals and furniture. If I try to reach my curtains the entire canister lifts up which makes it difficult for me to get my chores done. I also do not like the attachments being attached on the outside as they get In the way and fall off. The canister unit needs to have a self storing compartment under the lid for additional attachments. The beater bar unit needs to be able to stand up by itself without falling over. I must definitely would love Shark to have a model canister that I can use from one room to the next with just a switch of attachments. Including a separate floor attachment for hard floors along with the crevice and small wand for furniture would be awesome. An additional metal wand that would extend so I could reach my ceiling fans and drapes would be amazing. Having a detachable beater bar unit along with the separate hard floor attachment would ever so helpful and will save on the beater bar unit getting dirty from kitchen and bathroom floors. If you could take these added features with the awesome cleaning power of the Shark; you would have a winning machine. I hope these suggestions will be welcomed by your designing department.
