Honestly, this was BY FAR one of the most ridiculously expensive items I have EVER purchased for my home. Almost $200 for a trash can. My old trash can was a 13 gallon cheap plastic thing from Walmart and the only thing I liked about it was that it was 13 gallon. It didn't match my kitchen (as it was white & all my appliances and things stainless steel) and it had a swivel lid which didn't hold smells in at ALL. So I decided it was time to upgrade the trash can. I looked EVERYWHERE - Walmart, target, meijers, amazon, overstock, etc...anywhere you could imagine to find "the one." I knew I wanted a trash can that was NO LESS than 13 gallon, stainless steel, odor control lid, step open #NO sensors) and rectangular in shape to sit flush against the wall. Then I found this little beauty. I kept coming back to it for a week or so....I knew this was what I wanted, but $179...REALLY!?! That was honestly the only thing stopping me. But I had a 20% off coupon and an additional $5.00 off coupon so I guess it wasn't all bad. I went to the store and lined up all the available trash cans they had onsite and compared them all for a good 30 minutes before deciding to "bite the bullet" and get it. I had read all the reviews and now got to try it out for myself. I amazed myself with all the research I did just to find the right trash can. lol. I could care less about the attached bag holder for their special bags because I buy my trash bags in bulk from other stores. I have not yet used one of my trash bags yet because this trash can actually comes with a sample bag which I am still using. The attached bag holder is convenient and I looked at the packaging for their "special bags" and it says they fit 13 gallon and up and my generic trash bags are that size so I imagine they will work when the time comes. I will say once I got it out of the box and started using it I was in LOVE! It holds a ton of trash, I never have foul odors coming from it because the lid creates a nice seal. The step-open feature is so convenient! My 3 yr old loves getting to throw things away in the new trash can. It sits nicely up against the wall so as not to take up too much room, and easy to clean. Plus the way the lid is designed it "hides" the bag nicely. A lot of money for a trash can but SO worth it! Hope this helps.
This is item is great for design style and size it holds plus it holds the liner bags ...there are a few quirks that I don't like about it.. I purchased this item mainly because it held more trash due to the fact that it didn't have that extra bucket inside the trash can like the other model I had which was the 50L one... without that bucket it created more room for more trash so you weren't going through bags as often... the holder for the trash liners was a great idea but I thought it was stainless steel also and it's not.. it's a grey plastic.. under the lid is also a grey hard plastic.. for the price we pay for the Trash Can everything should have been stainless steel in my opinion. the other thing I didn't like was that its supposed to be a slow shut so it does't slam which it is but ONLY if you open it all the way.. if you only step on it to open it half way it slams shut unlike the 50L one where you can open it half way and it won't slam shut just slowly shuts.. th final gripe I have is that theres no way to hold it open other than keeping your foot on it, while the 50L stainless steel one theres a little latch that hold it open so you can throw things in like cleaning up after a party and not have to keep stepping on it to keep it open.. so that's my review.. so the only two good things for me on this item was just the size and it holding the liner bags in the bag..

SO happy I splurged… yes it’s expensive but it holds ALOT of trash. We went from taking trash out every evening to every 3days. 2 adults, 4 kiddos & 2 pups.. we have a lot of trash 🤣 the perfect fit bags are a major plus. Don’t have to worry about the bag coming off the can.

My daughter asked for this as a Christmas present. She loves it! Was able to use my BBB 20% off coupon on this , so I feeling was worth the money.
I was stuck in the cycle of buying a new garbage bin for the kitchen every 6 months. They would crack or break or just get gross. I was finally over it and looked into the magic of simply human. I am so glad I did. It’s sleek, it makes sense, it is clean and durable and I love how the trash bags are right there in the back of the bin. I can’t believe I waited so long and wasted so much money on silly plastic bins. I’m never going back. Simply human for life.

I had the older model where the whole thing was stainless steel and heavy. The new one is part plastic and the metal part is so thin and light. I was trying to step on the can to open it and it moved since it was so light. I wish they would make a good quality garbage can like my old one

Great trash can, the matte black was perfect for my modern farmhouse themed home. This trash can replaced the 60L round which was the perfect size for my family of 4. I figured there wouldn’t be a huge difference in size and boy was I wrong. I was excited this color was released but, now I pray there is a taller 80L option.
