I always like to read reviews from people who've had the product for a while because it's helpful to know the quality and/or life expectancy. Sooo...I've had this dispenser for several years now (at least three, maybe more). It's at my kitchen sink and gets LOTS of use. It looks just as good as it did the first day out of the box and it still functions perfectly, so I would say it's pretty well made. I fill it with dish soap (Palmolive to be exact) and use it for hand washing and dishwashing. My ONLY complaint is that the battery compartment is on the bottom which is a pain to access. I've never really paid attention to how often I have to change the batteries, but it doesn't seem like it's all that often, fortunately. And I will say, this design is an improvement over the much older model which required a screwdriver...with this model you just twist open the battery compartment. Overall I think this is a great product. I would recommend it!
I like this compact soap pump but if you don't use Simplehuman's special liquid soap with it it will clog and stop working.

The dispenser does not work properly and I want to return it and receive one that works. Too much soap dispenses and it won’t adjust to a lesser amount.

Easy set up and love the “hands-free” soap dispenser. I purchased 2 pumps, one for the kitchen and another for the guest bathroom.

I like this product and recommend it. However, I don't like the liquid soap that was shipped along with the sensor pump. The soap dries out my skin too much.

I've had one for years and my first one finally quit. I was lost without it. I use it in the kitchen with Dawn dish soap and it acts as a hand soap dispenser as well as convenient for washing dishes. No drippy, messy bottle of dish or hand soap in my kitchen ever.

It’s 3 ft away from my kitchen tv and when I press a button on my remote it dispenses soap. Weird.
