I can fit almost 26 pairs of shoes in here (I wear mostly flats). It hangs perfectly against the door and you can see all your shoes clearly. It feels stable even opening and closing the door. This is the second one I purchased - as a gift for a fellow 'messy'. It fits over my closet door perfectly but may not fit over thicker doors-
beware hooks are way too small to fit over my standard door depth! you either have to bend them and then the fit is terrible

Would have been 5 stars but the part that goes over the door makes it impossible to close the door all the way. Not a big deal for me since it is my bedroom closet and I don’t need to close completely.

I thought this would be great to help organize my and my husband's shoes. However the hooks that the rack hang from are poorly designed. They hook onto the top of the door (slightly loose on my apartment doors) and then the inside hook is long to hold the "roof" of the rack open. It makes it extremely unbalanced. I tried three times to hang it and fill it and each time it fell off the door and on top of me. There are no holes in the hooks to be able to screw them to the door. Totally not worth it. Don't waste your time.

Great way to save space in our closet.
I can't believe how quickly my bedroom became organized! This is the very best (and well constructed) shoe storage item I have ever had.
why did it not come with hooks ..

/this one is better than any I've bought! both ends open for shoes and it has a firm bottom for the shoes to sit on. It all comes out neat and clean with no squished shoes and air for them to breath. No more dust. My washer and dryer are in MR closet for just the 2 of us and I find it more dust particles to vacuum and shoes not worn everyday getting dust. Problem solved. I had over 40 pairs and ran out of room. This took the overload. Did not put boots unless ankle boot in it, But I have boxes already for them. Try it!
