Simply Essential™ 3-Tier Shelf

The matte black shelf was super easy to assemble in less than 10 minutes. Great looking shelf for an awesome price. Goes well in my sons modern room where he’s got the black and white clean lines. I would not put anything super heavy on there. It’s more of a shelf for a bedroom where you might put things like plants and decorations and things like that on there. For those who say it’s wobbly, it is not at all. They might have assembled it on its side and tightened all the bolts and then stood it up. If you tighten all the bolts prior to standing it upright it will be off or crooked. The key to assembly is to hand tighten the bolts not too tight, stand it on the floor upright and make sure the shelf is straight and not wobbling or uneven and then tighten each bolt snuggly. This piece of information was not on the assembly instructions. It is important not to tighten the bolts snugly until all bolts have been lightly tightened and the shelf is in the standing position. For those who have a wobbly unit they just need to loosen the bolts while it is in an upright position, Shift the frame of the shelf until it is straight and then re-tighten all the bolts. The shelf is a perfect size for a smaller room and I would definitely buy it again.

Just wanted to pass along that the Simply Essential™ 3-Tier Shelf is a flimsy 3-tier shelf. It was easy to put together. It is space effective for those with a small living area, but The 3-Tier lacks stability. BBB solutions was to provide a clamp with a screw on each side that installs around one of the thin legs. The problem here is that you have to drill into the wall with the screws to stabilize the little 3-tier which messes up the wall. It cannot be relocated unless it is disconnected from the wall. Make sure you buy some spackle and some paint repair the wall and some paint. One clamp is only provide which means only one side is secured against the wall. To reiterate, I like the size of the 3-tier. I hope it stay together for a couple of years. I'll try to not look at too much.

I purchased it for my entry, to hold gloves & hats. Pictures online made it look sturdy. It’s wobbly put together.

A three tier shelf for my pantry area was what I wanted and this is EXACTLY right. Lightweight, easy to assemble, and the price was excellent! Bed Bath and Beyond is always my first stop for quality items for my house.

The product is not well done.

I tried using this in a small kitchen which may not be what it is meant for, but even in another room it is extremely wobbly and unstable even when weighted down with heavy items on the bottom shelf. It doesn't have X supports as other shelves do so if you don't want to attach it to the wall (it does come with the hardware for that) which shouldn't be necessary with a smaller shelf like this you can't make it stable.

I wanted to love this piece but its hard. This stand is not as stable as I thought it would be. Its good to be a printer cart or a plant stand. The shelves in between are really wide and its hard to fill.

This shelf works great for a few decor items, but I wouldn't put anything substantial on it. I would think the metal shelves would start to droop in the middle if you put too much weight on them. It looks nice in the hallway in my house, I use it to hold a charging station and phone, and a few pieces of decor.
