My headline says it all. Aside from the money spent significant time getting it together. Now it's broken and unusable.

I thought that this was a great by, my husband put it up looked great went to open it and it the top piece snaped right off very disappointed

I haven't shared any experiences with the bad reviewers. This umbrella has been great to me. I like to take care of all my stuff so naturally I bought a cover for this and I keep it on whenever it's not in use. This is my second season with it and it still looks new. I filled the weight with sand and it's adequate. Since this is a lower end umbrella the material is a smooth, thinner nylon instead of thick canvas and there are pros and cons. Pros are it looks better and seems more fade resistant. Cons are it's thinner so up close it looks cheaper, it allows more light through but I don't mind and it wears out faster. The paint is a beautiful metallic brown and it's very sharp when in use. Bottom line, if you're patient and not rough on things then this should be a great item that will last a long time. Don't leave up in strong winds though.
Likely a good reason for the price. Got it home , all set up only to find out the next day the solar lights do not work. Wish I had know that before filling the base with sand. It does however provide good shade coverage

The only instructions are assembly. No operators manual.

This umbrella is larger than it looks, covers an entire section of the patio. It has lihhts and the holder. All for an excellent price
