Simply Essential™ Portable Lap Desk in Natural

Got this for Christmas and opened it to find a part was missing. It’s missing the metal brace to angle the table top for my laptop. Is there anyway to get this part? It will work great if I had the part.

I purchased two of these for a new desk (also purchased from Bed Bath & Beyond, thinking they would be perfect for the new desk that had yet to be delivered. I was travelling/out of the country when the two boxes were delivered, and admittedly put them aside and out of mind going back to school. Unfortunately they did not fit the ledge of the desk as the width was too long. When I went to the store to return them, in unopened boxes with the invoice still taped down to the boxes and my receipt, it was three days past the return limit. They said there was nothing that could be done, so I asked if they would at least give me the last sale price on a gift card but the manager on duty said it was not possible. She said even if it was an unused and unopened item that was obviously from BB&B with no receipt (i.e. it was a gift) they couldn’t do anything. Since I was unable to return it I gifted both at Christmas to family members. When I asked how they turned out, both informed me that while it was simple to put together, each was damaged in some way (leg stand broken, screws not fitting the holes, unable to stand straight, unable to bear weight that was less than the maximum suggested, etc. December 31, 2022

Made very well comfortable to use. love it

It’s heavy .work well but quality is poor ,paint is already coming off.

The only problem is that the portable desk is very heavy and cumbersome to carry.

Wasn’t what I thought it was. Drawer was too small. Wanted a tray to eat on and use for writing. Legs didn’t lock in place so kept collapsing. Cheaply made.

I wish I'd read reviews before purchasing this- honestly I just saw that it was on sale and I had been looking for one. Anyways, like other reviews have stated, the legs don't lock so in the brief 20 minutes I've used it I have shifted on my bed a few times and had the legs on one side fold under- which is slightly problematic since my laptop was on it... It's a nice size and I like that there's space for a mouse, but be aware that the slot on that side for your phone is too slim to hold your phone, not really sure what to use it for now. Anyways, if you can purchase it on a crazy good sale, go for it, but this is definitely not worth more that $15 which is surprising because I generally think of this company as having high quality products.

I removed the legs because I just need the top portion for my tablet.
