This screen works very well at reducing splatters and is big enough to cover my 12-inch skillet. Having a collapsible handle makes it much easier to store. My only complaint is that it's difficult to get all the grease out of the screen, and even get it dry after washing it, because the screen is actually 3 layers thick and the grease and water get trapped in between. The middle layer of screening is a much finer weave, which I think is part of the issue. Overall, a good purchase.
I cannot recommend this very well-made screen, because of a design flaw which causes it to trap oil inside the frame which is impossible to remove. This means that after you store it away, it gradually releases the trapped oil onto the floor of the cupboard and you end up with a pool of oil. No matter how many times you soak it in hot water and detergent, once you dry it off and put it away, the oil comes slowly seeping out for days and weeks afterward. It's actually kinda spooky and frustrating all at once.

This splatter guard is sturdy and I like the folding handle
It's much easier than cleaning the lids every time I cook and the carbon filter does eliminate much of the odors and the handle folds over for easy storage on the side of my air fryer.
I was excited to get this to prevent splatters and odors, but when I used it to brown ground sirloin, the finely woven mesh did help with both of those things, but it also trapped a lot of moisture in the pan, so the meat did not brown, but ended up basically being steamed instead.

It works fine and is easy to use and to clean up! Fits right in my dishwasher!
Procured to help address aroma when frying fish and splatter control. Recommend. Built sturdy. Product replaced two old just metal screen types.
Does exactly what is advertised!! Shipment was expedient and item was intact with written directions for use.
