Squared Away™ Wool Duster

The extended pole is nice, can wipe down the walls and my 14 foot ceilings. The material is not quite like the true wool on my old one, but seems to do the job and is easier to get the cobwebs out of.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This duster is extremely soft! You can use it with or without the extension depending how high or low you’re cleaning. I have not washed mine yet as it doesn’t seem to get dirty easily. Overall it is a great purchase!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Perfect for dusting high, hard to reach spaces. The duster piece catches and holds on to dust perfectly. I rarely have any fall off afterwards. The range in length definitely comes in handy. It’s also easy to store.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This arrived in a really long box, much bigger than I expected. The pole does not collapse very much. The main reason for giving it 2 stars is that it just pushes the dust around, it doesn't adhere to the duster at all. When I saw how white the duster was, my first thought was this is going to get dirty fast. Well, probably not as quick as you'd think because it doesn't stick to it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The wool duster is a solid, classic wool duster for dusting a thin layer of dust off of surfaces that are out of reach. The handle is made of plastic and metal and twists to loosen to extend. When extended it feels very sturdy and I can dust hard to surfaces easily without it bending. The wool top is a little difficult to remove, but once off it is easy to rinse/clean and lay out to air dry. It takes a long to time to air dry unless placed in front of a fan. The wool itself clings to a standard layer of dust pretty well, but need to be shaken between uses for any serious dust. It also does not pick up pet fur at all, it just spreads it around, so this duster isn't the most useful for surfaces with dust AND pet hair. All in all a good enough duster, but still looking for the reusable duster that can pick up pet hair and dust at the same time!

It also trapped to dirt so it did not fly all over the place and it was easy to shake off outside! My ceiling fans were in desperate need a a cleaning and now are nice and clean!

The telescoping handle is great for my crown molding as well as baseboard behind couches and other hard to reach places. The wool picks up a lot of dust and dirt but I have not cleaned it yet but assume it will continue to pick up a lot of dust and dirt in all parts of my house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] TLDR: (that’s Too Long, Didn’t Read) The duster part works great at catching and holding onto dust. it’s easy to remove and clean. The attached pole extends far, is lightweight and has a comfy foam grip, but the duster part is a bit too easy to accidentally detach when trying to extend the pole. Pros: * Duster catches and holds typical dust well. * Easy to detach the duster portion to clean it. * The handle has a comfortable foam grip. * The handle is lightweight yet sturdy. * The handle extends to reach high surfaces or most ceilings. Cons: * The duster portion sometimes comes off the pole when trying to unlock and extend the pole. * The duster portion doesn’t bend; it is always in-line with the pole so it’s not easy to dust surfaces that are perpendicular to the pole like ceilings or ceiling fan blades. Usage: Snap the duster portion into the top of the pole and you’re ready to start dusting. The large surface of the dusting end makes fast work of keeping things tidy. When the pole is fully retracted in the shortest version of the handle, it’s easy to hold onto and move around. The lightweight aluminum handle doesn’t weigh you down and the spongy foam grip is easy to hold onto. For distant cleaning like ceilings or high-up shelves, the pole can extend quite far. Just be careful when rotating the duster end to unlock the pole for extension, and sometimes the dusting end comes off the pole completely. If this happens, just pull the pole out to extend it and then put the duster end back on as nothing was really damaged or broken; just disassembled accidentally. I used the duster to clean my ceilings and ceiling fans. It worked well enough but it would have been nice to be able to bend the duster end to a right-angle to the pole so I could use more of the duster’s surface than just the tip. Cleaning the duster itself is easy. There is a slide switch on the end that unlocks the dusting portion for removal. Then hand wash it and let it air dry. When ready, snap it back in the handle and you’re good for more dusting. At the end of the handle is a rotating hook hole so you hang the duster up. I’m not sure why it rotates, but it does ;-). Conclusion: This lightweight duster is great for cleaning surfaces both near and far. The handle is easy to hold and maneuver around. It would be nicer if the duster portion could bend into an “L” shape, but overall, it gets the job done quickly with little effort.
