Step2® Grand Walk-In Wood Kitchen

It took 2 days to setup. The directions were not clear and some of the parts were not labeled. Once setup our little one loved it! There should be a setup video for each step.

My daughter loves this kitchen. Plays with it every day and all of her friends and cousins are obsessed! Though what I didn’t know is that it takes at least six hours to put together. I wanted to put it together right before her birthday and thought it would be pretty quick to do. I was up all night before her birthday with my mom putting it together. Just know make sure you have at least a day free for this project.

Got this for my daughter for Christmas and it is perfect! Great size, plenty of space, lots of fun to do! She loves it. Tip: get some accessories to make it a full working kitchen

The instructions are almost nonexistent. They only offer pictures, no words. We had around 30 pieces that didn’t have any numbers on them, so it took us a while to figure out where they went. Some of the pieces had the wrong numbers on them. When the “directions” would direct you do gather certain numbers of boards, it wouldn’t tell you to put the wooden dowels or hinges on. So you really have to pay attention to those little pictures. It was an absolute nightmare to put on, as you literally have to put every single piece in and every single screw in. The company really could have put together a bunch of pieces to help the process, so it was really making us mad. A good example would be putting the hinges on the pieces of wood. Not sure why they couldn’t just do that. For the hefty price tag, you’d think you’d get very detained instructions, because there’s hundreds of pieces, if you include the hundreds of screws you’ve use. But there’s over 100 pieces of board too. So, two thumbs down for this! Also, a lot of pieces had paint chips taken off, and smooshed in corners, from what looks like they were dropped. Again, with the hefty price tag, paint should be mint and there shouldn’t be any damage to the pieces. So, we will have to repaint it in the very near future. My husband and I are very savvy people, so we like to think. And we have put a ton of furniture together in the last 15 years. This piece was the hardest by leaps and bounds! It took us over 10 hours to do! There is no way one person can do this alone. There are times when you literally need more than two hands. So, for anyone to say they did it by themselves, or it took them 5 hours (I read that in a review) they are lying. Now if the directions were very clear and all pieces labeled correctly, possibly. But I’ve read a ton of reviews where people are saying exactly what I’m saying. So, be prepared to spend the entire day, or multiple days, putting this together. You defiantly need an electric drill and a speed wrench. For the good news, it’s cute. My grandson really loves it. It has a good about of storage space. This is made from pressed wood so be sure not to get it wet. But since my grandson likes it so much, that’s why I gave it 2 stars. Otherwise I would have given it 1. Having the directions like that was an idiotic call, and completely unnecessary.

This is a good product but it takes awhile to put together. (A lot of pieces). Follow the picture directions!

I have had a lot of issues with this kitchen a lot of the parts have been breaking I bought this for my 2 year old wanting to upgrade hers

Shipping was very quick. It came in 2 30lb boxes. A few of the pieces were scratched but all of those pieces were pretty much covered up once assembled. Definitely sort the pieces by 10s. Add the hinges and latches beforehand since a lot of them aren't shown in the instructions. It took my husband and I 5 hours to fully assemble it but our daughter loves it and it was sooo worth it. It's very sturdy once assembled and has so much storage! Our 2.5 year old and 8 month old will get a lot of use out of it.

My son loves it. Looks great! But it took 6 or 7 hours to complete. One thing I really liked about it is Step 2 customer service. I called twice to replace parts. They were very nice and sent the parts free.
