The curtains are lightweight and drape nicely. They do block ALL the light. I held a 2200 lumen flashlight up to the back of it and NOTHING showed through. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it myself. Something to be aware of: I bought navy and washed & dried them to get the folds out. I didn't wash anything else with them, but LOTS of white lint covered the curtains, from the backing, even after drying. I had to go over them thoroughly with a lint roller and they still look a little hazy. When I laid one curtain on top of another, it looked like I had dusted it with flour! If you order a light color, this may not be an issue. Or, just don't wash them! I had to iron them anyway; washing and drying did release the folds, but just created other wrinkles. The label-recommended "cool iron" accomplished nothing. I used the "silk" setting, which worked pretty well and didn't seem to do them any harm.
BEWARE that the product comes with ONE panel. Who sells one panel?! Go buy normal products that actually sells a pair.

Having the curtain rod hidden with the back tab allows for even less light to sneak in compared to other styles available. Even with them being white I was hesitant about light getting in but they proved a thermal layer that helps regulate heat and blocks light from getting in. Definitely a must have if you love having a dark room to sleep in.

He usually needs to be up when the sun comes out but when the time changes I’m sure these will work even better. We like to sleep in pitch dark rooms and I love how these are made to block light. The fabric is almost like a vinyl feeling and they look like they will wash well. I like the look of them especially with the grommets.

They are thick so light doesn’t come through and disturb him. They also help to hold heat in the room during the winter months.

They are thick and do a good job at blocking sunlight from getting into the room. Because it has been excessively hot here in Florida these curtain panels are very helpful to me.
