Works great and at reasonable prices
The thermometer works for measuring temperature, but it broke almost as fast as I bought it. I have never had a glass thermometer break so fast and get glass in my cooking. I had to start over because of this. It is extremely fragile.

A little difficult to read when attached to pot and heating oil.
This one was a lot more forgiving of leaving it in the oil and exploding like my last one. Also very easy to read so I can modulate the temp better. Good tool.
The first use was fine but the following day, some liquid had leaked into the thermometer and bubbled and burned the lower part of the thermometer. Now there are water droplets inside and is totally unusable.
Just purchased this thermometer and haven’t used it yet. Looks nice.
My original candy thermometer looked much like the Taylor Candy's thermometer. Unfortunately after years of use my original candy thermometer broke so I bought the Taylor. I think I must have gotten a defective candy thermometer because none of the candies I made using the new thermometer turned out (same recipe I used for decades.) I ended up returning the Taylor candy thermometer and will probably switch to a digital or go back to the really old fashioned way of checking the stage of the candy by dropping one drop into cool water to see if it forms softball hardball etc .
Works great and at reasonable prices
Was broken during shipment and of course I threw it away immediately upon arrival. Not something you want in the house with a child.
I was making donuts for the first time ever and the Taylor Dandy Deep-fry Thermometer was recommended for maintaining a 375 degree temp in the oil. The thermometer did the job perfectly. Easy to read the thermometer and easy to hold without getting oil on me. I would recommend this product to anyone!!!
