Love this product. Just don't make the mistake I did and leave it in the meat! This is instant read, which means stick it into the meat, read the temp and take it out. Force of habit from the old metal thermometers that you had to wait until the dial or red line stopped to see the temperature. The meat was not done, so instead of taking the thermometer out and checking again in a few minutes, I left it in. Ironically, when I checked back a few minutes later, the plastic housing on the instant read had melted to a misshapen form...but the thing still worked!!! Of course, I don't recommend doing something so dumb, and I didn't trust it enough to use it again; but I did buy another right away. Very grateful that the price is so low that my mistake wasn't expensive!
I purchased this thermometer recently and it was faulty out of the box. Doesn't work. Even tried the put it in hot and cold water method to try to calibrate it. Nothing. Don't buy this product! Can't get through to Customer Service for refund.

We needed a new meat thermometer and this one is great! It's lightweight, has a nice cover, reasonably priced and works perfectly! Very happy with this purchase!
This thermometer STARTS to register temperature, but seems like it takes forever to reach the actual temperature. DEFINITELY NOT INSTANT READ!

I used it once so far and it was easy to use and worked well.
My wife has been looking for a small and accurate one. She has used a couple of times and found it registered the correct reading very fast.
