Taylor® Waterproof Digital Food Cooking Thermometer

Works great and was a reasonable price

This is not a rapid-read thermometer, it's slower than a traditional cooking thermometer. I bought it so that I could quickly determine the internal temperature of meat while cooking. But it is so slow that I have gone back to my old thermometer. I believe it's accurate, it's just too slow to be a useful tool.

Bought two of these, one to give as a gift, one for myself. I opened the one for myself, read the instructions, checked the battery and discovered the battery compartment was in pieces. Obvious poor quality. Returning both.

Took this out of the package and it was already broken. Had to look up that it came with a battery in it already because the battery way dead. Tried to open the battery compartment and it wouldn't open. You can hear something rattling around inside. Not worth getting the cheap one, spend a little more money for something that will be functional as soon as you open it.

The thermometer works great and accurately. Easy to use and to clean. You can't go wrong with Taylor products.

I liked this thermometer and I'm thinking about purchasing another, but there are two things holding me back. One - it is not an instant read and two the plastic battery cover broke when I was trying to find out what kind of battery to buy. It did last about a year and was my go to thermometer. These things are made so cheaply they might as well be disposable.

I ran a business that had a large kitchen and we had to follow very explicit temperature regulations. This thermometer does an excellent job and was not as expensive as the one used in the business. Food temperature is important and this is very effective and does a great job without costing an arm and a leg. I would recommend this.
