Therapedic® TENCEL™ Temperature Perfection Down Alternative King Comforter

I just bought this. I really wanted to like it, but when I opened the package, the comforter had a giant footprint on it and smelled very odd - so much so that I opened a window to air out my room. After mulling it over, I am going to exchange it for a different one and hope that one arrives cleaner.

This is a nice comforter for the winter, but way too hot for spring and summer. We live in the PNW and have AC and we were roasting in this over the summer. I feel like this shouldn't be marketed as "temperature perfection."

It is too hot for summer.

This comforter is soft and has no crinkle noise. The consistency of the fill is without air pockets. I do not think the fill will shift. It is just what I was looking for love it!

This comforter is light weight yet somehow keeps me warm without overheating. It’s so comfortable. Its hands down the best comforter I’ve ever owned.

We went through two other duvet inserts (both high end) but they ran WAY too hot being down-filled even though they were labeled as 'lightweight' and for people who slept warm. We live in CA so the weather is consistently warm, and was upwards of 95 degrees when we bought this. We had the AC on so the room was not that warm, but we were still concerned we would get 'sticky' or too hot. I was most worried about my husband who runs hot and I always have cold feet and an extra blanket. First night we both literally could not get out of bed in the morning! It just feels like you are being wrapped in a warm cloud all night long, it feels light/fluffy and not too weighted which we both liked. My husband said he slept comfortably ALL night! No night sweats or overheating. I slept like an absolute dream no cold feet or extra blanket. Somehow it regulated the temp for us both in different ways all night. Only downside is that it does not have the full/fluffy appearance of a down comforter, but it is still a full 'comforter' look and feels cushiony. We have ours covered in a duvet, and we would definitely buy it again!

If you want a heavy comforter this one is for you. I read it was light weight but it’s not at all and it was even quite heavy. I got the double/queen thinking it would be a smaller which would fit my queen size well but it’s so large that it probably would think it would touch the floor on a double. That may be why it was so heavy. I will keep it since we tried it one night but though it would have more light weight.

I used to use a cotton comforter until recently deciding to try out this lyocell one. It is amazing. It is so soft and keeps me cool when I'm sleeping. I can't see myself going back to cotton now. It's exactly what I needed!
