This was a replacement mattress pad, after our old one was finally torn and worn down. It’s definitely comfortable and adds some (not a lot) of cushion to the bed, which we like. The ONLY CON was when we washed it, it took almost 3 hours in a BIG dryer on high heat to get dry enough to take out, and even after that we laid it out to air dry more. It just doesn’t dry well, so if you wash it, give yourself at least 4 hours on high heat in a big dryer (I am not embellishing here). But I DO recommend it, other than dryer issue.
I chose this mattress pad because unlike the other Therapedic options, this one did not mention Scotchgard in the description. I was looking for something that would add a layer of waterproof mattress protection without harsh (and potentially dangerous) chemicals. Once received, one of the main items noted on the packaging is the Scotchgard. Unfortunately will have to return and find another option.

Picture and description VERY deceptive. It's a quilted sheet. Not really a pad at all. But it LOOKS good in the photo. Could have bought the same thing on Amazon for $120 less. Save your money. Don't buy this sham.

Very pleased with this mattress cover. The sides are long enough for deep mattresses but tight enough for thinner mattresses. Very comfortable to sleep on.
Extremely comfortable fits perfect and well made .just purchase one for my mother for Christmas .
Grandson just peed the mattress. All of it absorbed by the mattress pad, not a drop on the mattrss. So pleased. And it's very cushy, like a light pillowtop that helps with our arthritis. Ordering a second one now.

I had a Wamsutta mattress pad for years and loved it. Tried to find another one like it but they do not exist. Bought one that was just a mattress cover with no padding. I need the soft padding of a mattress topper. I bought this one and it works though not as soft as the Wamsutta topper.
Haven't tested the waterproofing but the pillowtop made a huge difference for us. Very generous material and fit the queen bed we have great (11")
I originally ordered a mattress pad just to protect the mattress and wanted a waterproof pad that didn't give the crinkle effect. This is so much more . It made my mattress so comfortable and eases any pressure points. Well made. Fits my big deep mattress easily and stays out. I'm ordering another one .
