This works really well, if you use tablespoons to cook with. I usually don't. The flat base, that is supposed to support the messy end of the utensil is too small for things like spatulas or slotted serving spoons, especially if you have more than one in use at a time. I would not go so far as to call this item useless, but just be aware that it may not meet all of your needs. I was just looking for something to keep my stove top clean, and with larger utensils, I still can't rely on this alone.
It looks like a good idea, until you try to use it. The slots that hold the utensils are too deep. First 3 times I tried using it, everything wound up on the floor. After getting tired and irritated with having to clean the floor, front of cabinets. I decided it wasn’t for me.

Keeps all utensils separated yet right where I need them. Perfect holder
Bought this for my new kitchen and love how subtle it is and yet there is room for up to 4 utensils which I rarely use at one time. Keeps the mess off of my new countertops.

I often use multiple spoons, when cooking. This works well to keep the counter clean and the utensils separated from each other. I like the wide drip pan that catches all of the mess. It cleans up easily.
This spoon rest holds several different cooking utensils at the same time. Most hold one and then I am grabbing additional dishes to hold my additional utensils.
It is all I had hoped for, keeping all my spoons, spatulas and flippers in one place with little clean up
Keeps the stove and/or counter clean. Handy place to put used utensils!
