I bought two on sale over xmas to keep when we are doing large batches of different things with the family. As a blind person I chose to buy the model with the presets and never had a problem with not seeing whats going on inside the containers as every recipe came out as it should. Even doing frozen desserts by listening to the sound of the motor I was able to know when to use the assist sticks. cleanup is easy using the preset cleaning and not having to take anything apart to clean has saved potentially cutting up my hands. I like the lower profile as its easier to maneuver than the taller ones and I have better control when pouring. So as an assist to a blind person I recommend this container with the 750 Pro machine. Its even easier to use than the 48 oz container. My only suggestion is to put the recipe book in accessible format online for me. Otherwise have a video for every recipe that I could stop and start while working through it. A small thing to do for the growing number of sight impaired and blind people/ Thanks for listening. Wish I could return and get the regular tall container. This container is HORRIBLE. It doesn't pull things down to the bottom to chop as well as the tall container. It is poorly designed. There is no way to make ice-cream without chunks. I freeze milk in ice trays, and there are always milk chunks. If I let it run long enough to not have chunks, it turns into a runny milkshake rather than ice-cream. Wish I could exchange for the tall container like I've had for the past 7 years. It was perfect. So disappointed.

This container is nice because it holds 64oz AND fits under my cabinets while sitting on my Classic model Vitamix machine. However, I find it requires a larger volume of ingredients to blend sufficiently vs my taller, 64 oz container. Also, no matter what volume of ingredients I blend in this Low-Profile container I believe blends of the same recipes at the same volumes in my taller, 64oz container are always smoother in the taller container.

I accidentally left a spoon in my good old tall 2 litre a couple months ago and it blew right out the side (literally!). I decided to order the low profile, and am I so glad I did! It blends my smoothies SO much better, where I used to struggle with the top 1/2 not blending well without having to pick it up and shake it every 10 seconds. Great investment as I love my Vitamix and didn't want to have to go buy another brand.

The container came with the Vitamix 750 Pro I purchased. I like the low profile feature, it fits under the kitchen cupboard/cabinet. I have used the vitamix with the container to make single serve smoothies (which consists of 1 cup cold water, 1 cup frozen mixed berries, 1/2 frozen bananas, 1/4 cup of pre-soaked almonds, 3 tablespoons milk powder, 1 tablespoon flax seeds). I was initially concerned about the outcome since the total ingredient volume was below 3 cups for the large container, I was concerned that the consistency may not be smooth. However, the smoothie turned out just fine.

I wish Vitamix just gave you a gift certificate when you buy one so you can choose the container. I like that this is low enough to fit under the cabinet but it's pretty big. Hard to make small batches.

If it weren't for the innovation of the stainless steel container I probably would think this was excellent. But Vitamix has improved. The shape of this container is great and it is versatile. But it does scratch and stain over time. Not a big downside, but things to consider now that Vitamix has the stainless steel option.
